EMDR is psychotherapy method which will not be offered online due to the nature the intervention.

One of the online therapists is Sylvia Buet, a qualified Psychologist and a BABCP accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. She is the founder of the International Institute for Cognitive Therapy in the UK. The Institute offers training on a range of topics related to Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) since 2007.
Silvia trained at University of Valencia (Spain) where she obtained her BSc Hons. Degree in Psychology in 1991. She holds a Masters in Guidance and Counselling and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Ulster (UK).
She is also an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing) level II practitioner and specialises in the treatment of adults and older adolescents (over 18). She works with individuals having emotional and relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, health anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), pure obsessions (sexual, harming and religious), stress management, guilt, jealousy, shame, anger and particularly, panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), pure obsessions, and Post-Traumatic Stress disorder.
Sylvia has more than 15 years of experience in organising and delivering CBT training in Europe and the USA for a variety of academic institutions and private organisations. She worked as a lecturer at the University of Ulster for several years teaching modules on Cognitive Behavioural therapy. Sylvia is also a regular presenter at International Conferences. Her main interests are trauma, PTSD, pure obsessions, relationship dissolution, and guilt issues.
At present, Sylvia is in the final year of a PhD programme at Queens University Belfast. Her research is focused on how people can adjust to a relationship breakup, separation or divorce, using a cognitive behavioural framework.
